It was about 2days after D.I.Sguise left Dagrin for London that we heard the sad story that the Nigerian Rap symbol had gotten into a fatal car accident. I(RalphBB) called DISguise up and asked if this was true what we were hearing on the news, he said YES I couldn’t believe this. DISguise mentioned “I just performed with Dagrin at a show 2days ago, we hung out had fun, and now he got into an accident, God knows if I hadn’t left 2days earlier I would probably have been in the same car accident too”. I assured him everything would be ok, but a couple days later we got the news that DAGRIN had passed away. It was a shocker knowing fully well that I knew the man in 2007 when he had just begun his career, it hit home hard!

DISguise got the call about the latest information which left him in a state of awe; he hung up the phone and headed to the studio to put together a track for the Yoruba Rap Icon. Just released today is the beat, we also decided to include that as a way for other grieving Nigerian and international artist who would want to show their support and probably make a record for the artist. D.I.S GUISE is a young film maker, with background experience in music production
and graphic design, he committed to music at a young age after watching then hip
hop teenage acts such as Kriss Kross, Kid and play. D.I.S was born in west
Africa, hence the African tropical sounds influence his songs, he was inspired to
make music in the likes of Kidjo, Fela Anikulapo kuti, vyonne shaka shaka, Brenda
fasse, and others mixed with hip hop and contemporary music.

As an adolescent, D.I.S GUISE was fascinated with the idea of disguises and how
they could transform a person from one to another, he believed that everybody had
at least 2 disguises to their everyday life, one wore for social acceptance and
the other worn when we are being our true natural selves. D.I.S has chosen to
wear both disguises and talk about issue that would not be brought up in the
modern music society. D.I.S’s mask represents the facelessness of the everyday
person he has chosen to stand for. “There are millions of people out there that
have stories to tell but don’t have that pitchman, or voice to tell it to the
world” he said, when asked what he does music for. GUISE knows that music is
suppose to be a medium to express feeling about life, and since modern artist
only seem to see the “bling bling” side of life, he has made it mandatory to
address the young girl who wrongfully got rape, the government’s plot to control
citizens, the single mother struggling to raise 4 kids, the immigrant fighting
for his rights as a human being, the lover boy who got betrayed by his partner
and the list goes on.

D.I.S GUISE’s mixtape “I USED TO THINK I WAS LIKE YOU” which would be released
under his new record label CODE RED ENT, addresses the society’s idea of normal
and abnormal. This mixtape explores the person society wants us to be as opposed
to who we really are, we watch TV and try to incorporate things we see into our
lives because that’s what is considered “COOL”, and if otherwise is done the
individual involved is not regarded as an active part of society, hence they do
not matter, in this social commentary mixtape guise challenges minds and makes it
sooth the ears.

Yesterday Nov 11 IceBerg Slim dropped a reply track at notjustok.com to M.I's "Somebody Wants to Die" track which was released last month in response to IceBerg question "Am I Better Than M.I?". According to rapper IceBerg aka Mr International this has been a question directed at him from the fans of both camps. This new track from IceBerg directly calls out M.I where he also calls him a "faggot".

Stephanie Ike known as Ms.Royalty, you may probably remember her face from several billboards in Lagos, Nigeria and London, UK from her modeling career which started at the age of 13. At such a young age, she has accomplished what many of us are yet to imagine. Starting her own Entertainment Company- Afrikan Royalty Entertainment at age 18 which is based in the Inland Empire, California she has worked alongside with artists such as; Ray J, Electrik Red, Jeremih, Big Boi ad many more. Currently, her company is a part of the first HIV/AIDS awareness concert in the biggest county in the United States- San Bernardino Ft. Trey Songz, Miguel, Meaku and many more. CODE RED met up with Ms.Royalty and asked her certain questions, below is her responses:

Where did the name Afrikan Royalty Entertainment Come from?

Well as you know, I am African by Blood, Royalty by God and Entertainment by Business, I put it together and it sounded splendid.

How did you get involved in the Industry at such a young age of 13?

My mother is a business woman to the core, my father passed away when I was younger and my mother made sure she gave us the best in life, so watching her business ethics and her way of life, I knew from about age 9 that I want that, I want to be successful in my own name, not by inheritance, or trust fund, but by my own sweat. So, later on I realized that I loved to watch fashion shows and all that and wanted to get involved in modeling, my mother was my manger gave me her full support, I look like a model ( lol- that’s my confidence talking ) so I went ahead with it, in less than a year, I got an offer to host a tv show, I was modeling for phone companies, banks, lotions and it was great, my mother was teaching me the ways to handle certain aspects in life in a business outlook. So I matured way faster for my age.

Who is your biggest Inspiration?

Firstly, God, because the Bible defines who we are, it says we are Great, we are fearfully and wonderfully made, we are blessed and highly favored and I wanted to live up to that standard. That everything I set my mind on will prosper because God has given me favor. Secondly, my mother- she is a very strong woman, highly educated, business minded, great heart and successful so she is my drive in life.

There have been rumors of future projects you have going on in Nigeria as well as the UK that has been featured with your name in magazines, is that true?

It’s no rumors, I wouldn’t go in detail about them right now, I rather let my actions speak for me on that because as of now, everything is still in the process of becoming..

On a personal level- is there a special someone in your life and what do you look for in a man?

There are special people in my life, am I in a relationship with any of them? No, because before you get in a relationship you need to know the person you’re falling for is willing to catch you. In a man I look for consistency and a man who has the fear of God in his heart.

What can you say to those who are inspired by whom you are and who you are becoming?

Stay true to yourself; believe in yourself, because if you can’t believe in what you doing how do you expect others to. Never settle for less and become comfortable with that. Strive to achieve more, be more and remember it’s not that you cannot afford a certain item but it is how you can afford it, don’t look at what others are doing but think of what you want to do and get it done.

Authentiq, born in London in the late 80’s, is a talented UK rapper. Having moved to Nigeria with his family during his early childhood, he was an active child at school, participating in drama and sports events and began developing his passion for music.

Authentiq was a quiet child who was very close to both his parents, and through his family influences was determined to focus and succeed in both his academic and musical love.

In 2002, his father passed away, leaving him shattered and brokenhearted. He spent time traveling to the US and UK for a change of environment to ease his pain, but to no avail. Then he finally decided to express himself through his love for music and wrote a song for his dad.

In 2005, he was signed as an artist to Impact Records, a Nigerian based record label, where he recorded his first single. He promoted this single throughout Nigeria, performing at universities and music festivals across the country, to rapturous audiences. He later left for the US to develop his rap style and recently returned to London.

Authentiq has recently signed to Titans Entertainment, a UK and Spain based Entertainment Company, and is now looking to create an impact on the UK rap scene. His first single, What I Want, is an up-tempo positive lyrical track, with a great feel-good factor vibe! The track focuses on his passion for his new girlfriend, wooing her in a nightclub. The single, produced by the Hatter Brothers is due to be release in September 2008 and is sure to be a great club track! He's single was released in 2009 entitled many girls. A track Authentiq colorfully uses to appreciate all the women he has had the pleasure of encountering.

Gucci Mane & OJ Da Juiceman Respond To Young Jeezy "23, 24" Diss: “We Not Feedin’ Into That”

Last night (June 15) Young Jeezy leaked a song targeting fellow Atlanta rappers Gucci Mane and OJ Da Juiceman.

On the track, titled “24-23,” Jeezy first takes aim at his longtime rival Gucci.“I’m on my Louie shit today/ fuck some Gucci, mane,” he spit. “These niggas still on my dick/ they like some groupies, mane/Can’t keep they lips closed/ they worse than coochies, mane/ And that fruity looking stupid/ like some Coogi, mane/ Let you trick me off these streets/ you must be stupid, mane/ Tell him this ain’t what he want/ not the boy Snow/ But between me and you/ I think the boy slow.”

He then takes aim at Gucci’s friend OJ. “Straight shots to the head, fuck some juice, man,” he added. “Next to real n—-s in the city who got the juice, mane. these n—-s talking bout the work but what they prove, mane. Y’all know these n—-s really clowns but I’m the truth, mane. And this is what you goin’ for then what’s the use, mane. Tell him this ain’t what he want, not the boy Snow. But between me and you, I think them boys slow.”

When XXLMag.com reached out to both OJ and Gucci’s management for comment, the current XXL cover stars said: “We not feeding in to that. We getting money.”

The Snowman has a controversial history with Gucci. Back in 2005 Jeezy put out several diss songs against the rapper, claiming he was not paid sufficiently for his appearance on Gucci’s hit single, “So Icey.” Gucci alleged that Jeezy went as far as putting a hit out on him, which many believe lead to Mane killing a man – rumored to be a Jeezy associate - in self-defense. Since ’05 there have been no other incidents between the two rappers.

Ironically all three MCs are set to play two shows together this weekend, 102 Jamz’s SuperJam In North Carolina and Hot 107’s Birthday Bash in A-town.

Coolio Pleads Not Guilty and Ticks Off Judge

Coolio pled not guilty to a felony charge of cocaine possession and two other misdemeanors this morning -- but he was sure as hell guilty of pissin' off the judge.

After Coolio rolled into court two hours late, the judge went off on the rapper, pounding into his oddly-styled head that he's gotta be on time when he's due back in court on April 20th.

Back in March, cops say they found drugs in Coolio's luggage at LAX and accused him of grabbing a screener's arm in an effort to stop the search.

Coolio faces up to three years in state prison if he's convicted.

(CNN) -- A man angry that a family was talking during a movie threw popcorn at the son and then shot the father in the arm, according to police in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

James Joseph Cialella, 29, was charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault and weapons violations, a police report said.

Cialella told the family sitting in front of him in the theater on Christmas Day to be quiet, police said.

An argument ensued while others at the Riverview Movie Theatre watched "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button," starring Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett, The Philadelphia Inquirer reported.

Cialella then approached the family from the left side of the aisle and shot the father, who was not identified, as he was standing between Cialella and his family, according to the police report.

The victim was taken to Jefferson Hospital with a gunshot wound to his left arm, police said.

Cialella was carrying a Kel-Tec .380-caliber handgun clipped inside his sweatpants, police said. He was arrested and taken into custody.

SAN JOSE, Calif., Nov. 24 (UPI) -- A U.S. district court awarded $873 million in damages to Facebook to be paid by a spammer whose materials appeared to be endorsed by the Facebook users.

The judgment prohibits the spammer, Adam Guerbuez, and his company, Atlantis Blue Capital, from interacting with Facebook, except in restricted circumstances, InformationWeek reported Monday.

"We don't take this affront lying down," Facebook director of security Mark Kelly and the company's general counsel Mark Howitson said in an e-mail.

"We are confident that this award represents a powerful deterrent to anyone and everyone who would seek to abuse Facebook and its users," Kelly said in a blog posting Monday.

The award, issued by a federal court in San Jose, Calif., is the largest ever against a spammer under the 2003 Can-Spam Act, InformationWeek said.

The company said it was "unlikely" it would collect the judgment, against Guerbuez who failed to appear in court. However, "we are going to go after him," the company's senior counsel Sam O'Rourke said.

"We know where he is and we're in the process of executing the judgment," he said.
